YUASA
The company was founded in 1895 in Japan. In 2004, a merger between Japan’s two oldest and biggest battery manufacturers resulted in the founding of a new company GS/YUASA, which is currently the second biggest company in the world with an annual turnover of several billion US dollars, of which 58% are made up of car and motorbike batteries. The company’s branches are located in 17 countries and employ a total of 14,500 workers.
Logically, almost all car makers in Japan and other Asian countries use YUASA batteries in their original configurations. Interestingly, a growing number of European car makers use YUASA products. Currently, YUASA start batteries are used for new Mercedes Benz and BMW models.
Batteries made by GS/YUASA (including with lithium ion technology) are used in many motor sports disciplines, starting with the transmission of telemetric data for all F1 teams, powering the Honda Yuasa Racing team in the British Touring Car championship, the Powering Repsol Honda team in the Grand Prix MotoGP class and elsewhere.
Since 2010 APE Motors has been the importer and distributor of YUASA car and motorbike batteries in Latvia. APE Motors receives all YUASA products from YUASA Battery Sales UK LTD (Swindon), where the newest warehouse in Europe has been built with capacity for almost 11000 pallets.
BÄREN
The BÄREN battery company was founded in 1939 in Austria. Currently, BÄREN forms part of the FIAMM Group, which supplies car batteries to leading car makers. We offer the latest series of popular BÄREN batteries including Polar Technik AGM, Polar Technik EFB, Blu Polar and Profi.
POWERLINE
The APE Motors product range also includes economy class POWERLINE batteries. Nearly a decade ago, they successfully entered the Finnish market, which stands out among the Northern Arctic regions with its very low air temperatures in winter.
